For several years, vintage furniture has been extremely popular. The more distressed the piece
the more sought after it was. Wood cracking, paint peeling and blistering, tops warping, and
drawers and doors stuck were just a few of the problems with this type of furniture. In addition
to being highly distressed, the furniture was often dirty and grimy. Although we liked this
type of furniture, we weren't willing to put something in our homes that didn't work properly,
or that was just plain filthy. There had to be a way to get the look without the problems.
The solution was simple. Buy vintage furniture,
strip the old finish, fix the structural problems if any, make sure all the drawers and doors
work, and then re-finish the Whimsical Whites way. You can be assured that every
piece of Whimsical Whites furniture is clean, in good working order, and contains
no lead based paint. Along with our selection of vintage furniture, we sell unique, one of a kind
accessories. You may never see some of these pieces anywhere else. We "recycle" lamps, candle
holders, door knobs, architectural pieces, linens, shelfs etc. in creative and unique ways.
