The Whimsical Whites ladies are ready for Valentine’s Day with a twist of Spring. Garden bric-a-brac is increasing daily. Our McCoy pots, Jardinieres and our cool “no name” vases in the best soft colors are awaiting you. As always, interesting vintage planters are brimming with mini gardens. Seasonal fresh European nose gays @ $6.50 are vase ready daily. Special order arrangements with a combination of vintage vases and ribbons are enhanced by gorgeous bloomers. Please allow Whimsical Whites to design your wedding or special event. Back to Valentine’s Day. “Wow!” We have been able to acquire a large collection of the most charming Valentines. Their messages are loving and polite.
Millenary flowers, leaves, stamens and lace trims, circa 1920’s – 1940’s are abundant. We spent many hours in San Francisco choosing our treasures from hundreds of boxed, old and new flower stock. The bolts of ribbon have a beautiful patina. We acquired these via France and New York. Buttons, buttons and more buttons! We are especially exited with our 30’s & 40’s plastic buttons. Their shapes are really unique.
The baby boutique is expanding. The hand knit sweaters (Thanks to Barbara) are darling! The child’s overalls that have been embellished with vintage linens await a little cutie to show them off. Kris designs our special baby jackets, overalls and many other baby accessories. Barbara also crochets buttons on the towels and customizes pillows with her wonderful monograms. In October, after 8 years of displaying her talents, Kris, Richard and I finally had the pleasure of meeting Barbara.
Furniture will be arriving!! Weather permitting, as sanding and repairs are usually performed outside. When the rain lets up, we will go for it.
Lamps! Our lamps range from beautiful to funky. Each one is matched with its own special shade. Our long time friend, Carol, uses both vintage and new textiles in her designs. Carol also designs shades that can be purchased separately.
